At Acme Corrugated Box, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve, especially when it comes to supporting the brave men and women who sacrifice so much for our country. Today, we’re proud to highlight our partnership with Operation Eternal Gratitude (OEG), a remarkable military support group based at Central Bucks High School South.
Making a Difference One Box at a Time
Operation Eternal Gratitude, run by dedicated high school students in the Central Bucks School District, has an impressive mission: to support troops overseas through thoughtfully assembled care packages. These packages provide essential items and comfort to service members stationed around the world, reminding them that they are thought of and appreciated.
Acme Corrugated Box has been a long-time supporter of OEG and donates boxes to help accomplish the group’s mission. These donations save them thousands of dollars that can now be redirected toward purchasing supplies for the care packages instead of packaging materials.
Impressive Impact
The scale of CB South – OEG’s work is remarkable for a student-led organization. Their record for total weight of boxes sent to service members overseas is 11,337 pounds! And they’re not slowing down – they’ve already sent 5,667 pounds in the current school year and are collecting more for another shipment.
Their dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. The organization recently received a $30,000 grant from the state of Pennsylvania to purchase items for their packages, allowing them to expand their reach and support even more service members. A group of South OEG officers will be traveling to Harrisburg to visit lawmakers, thanking them for the grant received this year and discuss about making it an annual thing.
A Community Effort
What makes Operation Eternal Gratitude special is that it’s led by students who understand the importance of civic responsibility and supporting those who serve. With over 200 members, the group demonstrates the power of young people to make a meaningful difference in the world.
