An honor earned over a lifetime of hard work.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Bob Cohen, President of Acme Corrugated Box, has been inducted into the AICC Hall of Fame, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the independent packaging industry.

AICC – The Independent Packaging Association was founded in 1974 to support and protect independent businesses in the corrugated, folding carton, and rigid box industries. For decades, AICC and its members have played a vital role in advancing the paper-based packaging industry. Each year, the AICC Hall of Fame award is presented to individuals whose leadership and service have significantly advanced the Independent Packaging Industry through active AICC membership and broad industry involvement.

It is an honor that reflects not just a career, but a life’s work.

Where It All Began

Bob Cohen joined Acme Corrugated Box in 1969. He was young, hungry, and committed to learning the business from the inside out. By 1982, at just 35 years old, he had become President of the company, taking on the responsibility of leading a family business and carrying its legacy forward.

That was over 40 years ago. And Bob is still at it.

Building Something That Lasts

Multiple generations of Cohen’s serving Acme

The corrugated industry is not for the faint of heart. It’s competitive, cyclical, and unforgiving to those who aren’t paying attention. Since 1980, roughly 75% of Acme’s regional competitors have left the field, closed, consolidated, or absorbed by larger players.

Acme is still standing.

That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of a relentless focus on the fundamentals – strong customer relationships, sound business values, a commitment to investing in people, and the belief that every day is an opportunity to be a little better than the day before.

Bob has lived those values for over five decades, and they are woven into the fabric of everything Acme does today.

In His Own Words

When asked about his philosophy, Bob puts it simply:

“No entrepreneur succeeds in isolation. To be truly successful you must cultivate a culture that supports success.”

That mindset has shaped not just Acme, but the people who have worked alongside Bob throughout his career – employees, customers, industry peers, and the next generation of leaders he has mentored along the way.

A Legacy That Belongs to Everyone

The AICC Hall of Fame induction is Bob’s, but the legacy it represents belongs to everyone who has been part of the Acme story. Every employee who has shown up and given their best. Every customer who has trusted us with their business. Every partner who has believed in what we are building.

Bob has always understood that. It’s why he leads the way he does.

We are so proud of you, Bob. Thank you for everything you have built – for this company, for this industry, and for this community.
